Moving Day
- The E.R.C. (Employers Resource Council) rates moving as the 3rd most stressful experience in life.
- The day of the move, please be ready by having all fragile items and all items of extraordinary value, including, but not limited to: coins, jewelry, stocks, bonds, precious metals, legal document, birth certificates, passports, irreplaceable photos, and small electronics (i.e. iPods, MP3 players, digital cameras, cell phones, personal laptop computers) boxed to be moved separately with you.
- Two weeks or more, if you live in or are moving to a building with elevators, please make sure all arrangements have been properly addressed with the building’s management office to ensure the elevators are reserved for the specific time and day of the move.
- We highly recommend having at least one person from the moving party at the present AND future home to expedite, facilitate communication, and provide access during the move.
- The foreman will have several documents that will need to be read and signed prior to the loading process. This includes the bill of lading, insurance validation, moving check list, and a liability release form.
- All jobs are C.O.D. and payment is due upon completion of job, unless other arrangements have been made in advance with your move coordinator. We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards (Master Card, VISA, American Express, or Discover). There is a 3% SAVINGS when cash or personal checks are used.
